DD is 6 weeks old tomorrow and is EBF.

Both boys were FF due to loads of problems and I spent most of my pregnancy worrying about having similar problems with DD. Especially as she was over 9lb.

We had to work on getting the latch sorted and had a few days of utter exhaustion when I wished DH could feed her instead.

But it's all going brilliantly now. Mainly thanks to you lot!! I have had some super advice during my pregnancy and since she has been born. Also thanks to the advice on other threads that I have read to get help from.

Here's to many more weeks of breastfeeding and thank you very much.

Thanks

Well done for getting to 8 weeks, think it is you that deserves a big Thanks or perhaps a bar of chocolate and a glass of Wine Smile.

Sorry 6 weeks! My eyesight is truely shocking.

Well done you! You're through the roughest patch now. Many more happy weeks to come for you both :)

Aw that's great Smile

I would love a glass of wine but HV said I couldn't drink unless I can guarantee DD won't need feeding for at least 2 hours. Which is ok in the morning but she clusterfeeds sometimes on an evening.

I like Wine but not at 10am Grin

It's up to you, but I'd ignore the HV and have a glass of wine. I'm pretty sure the research says that a glass will do no harm.

McKayz · 31/07/2012 21:45

Wine is very tempting. I think I'll have a small glass tomorrow.

Very over-cautious advice from the HV.

Check out alcohol and breastfeeding in the mumsnet archives. Make up your own mind :)
