12 week old DS bottle fed eating less - is this normal??

Over the last couple of weeks, my little boy has started eating less than before. He used to have about 5oz every 3-4 hours pretty happily, but now it's a real struggle to get even 3-4oz down him and even then he ends up spitting up quite a bit and getting quite stressed.

Tried feeding him for longer each time (up to 45 mins used to take only about 20 mins) and waiting up to 5 hours between feeds but it doesn't seem to make much difference. The strange thing is though he seems to take his bed time feed and dream feed much more happily.

Apart from that he's a happy little lad but I'm a bit worried that he's not getting enough (due for a weight check start of next week). Anyone else had any experience of this?

My daughter did this but I found that this was because we had recently changed teats. We were on slow flow and she was taking ages so we moved up and she was then taking it too fast.

Have you changed anything about your routine - bottles, formula etc??

Not really. He moved up to the 1-3 month old teats about 4-5 weeks ago and was happy with them.

Haven't changed anything else (although he doesn't have much of a detailed routined during the day). All a bit strange really. Read all various information about reflux etc. but he doesn't seem to have that level of symptoms (yet!)

my dd started refusing her formula at 12 weeks - i struggled with it for ages before realising that she would only take what she wanted. Don't get stressed and go with the flow, really hard I know but he will get what he needs I'm sure. If he's anything like dd then he'll let you know when hes hungry!
