14wk dd had her 2nd set of jabs today and i gave her a little infant paracetemol - whenever I give her spoonfuls though (shes had nystatin too) she gets this open-mouthed look of utter HORROR on her face, which is really quite comical. Then she spits most of it out!

Anybody else get that look of horror? Or do your babies happily take spoonfuls of stuff? just wondering!

use a syringe instead

makes no difference - same open mouthed look of horror!

Sorry but with my son I had to be quite mean and shove it right at the back of his throat - he cried but it kept it in. It's horrible when they're like that about meds!

Luckily dd seems to like the taste so happily sucks it from the syringe (can't say the same about the horrid antibiotics she had to have - they weren't much fun to get down her).

I've tasted it myself and thinks it's lovely! cant see what her problem is Grin

DS quite liked the cherry flavoured paracetamol - he gets a very thoughtful look on his face as he considers the flavour.

Infacol he doesn't like quite as much, but he only wrinkles his nose - he doesn't hate.

Nystatin he hated so much he pushed the nurse's hand away when she tried to give him the second bit of the dose! Grin

I couldn't get DD to take anything like that until we were approaching weaning and she actively wanted to put stuff in her mouth. I gave her some Calpol tonight from a spoon and she hoovered the stuff up!
