return of periods after stopping bf?

I never had any menstruation during bfing and stopped bfing ds a few weeks after his 1st birthday (mid January). I still have no sign of anything, is it usual for it to take as long as this to return?

I have no idea of the normal but I stopped b/feeding 6/7 weeks ago (after only 4 months though) too and still no signs.

I never BF (Well about 48hours if that counts!) i only had two periods after DD was born in April last year (last was in Aug) and nothing until about 3 weeks ago. to be fair time flys when you have a little one (as you know) so i didn't really notice how long it had been but was told that i wouldn't be seen about it until it had be absent for 6 months i was about to ring on the monday and it started on the sat i have no idea why it was so long coming or if this could be a post baby thing maybe it is in some cases.
