Just wondered really. We co sleep and ebf and dd will not take a bottle or a cup. How long realistically can I leave her with dp. He has her on a sat morning for couple of hours whilst I do something for myself but poor man always has to go out somewhere or drive round and round as if they sit in dd gets really upset. She's used to having me on tap when she's in the house! I'd like to start doing a bit more for myself but feel bad for my dp as she wont take a bottle. How long do you leave yours? She's 13 weeks.

It depends......:) Obviously, she will not become ill if she goes without for a few hours at 13 weeks, but she may well become uncomfortable and distressed - and it's not just the milk but you :)

If your dp can be more hands on during the week, maybe take over bathtime or some other regular ritual daily, this will help her develop a close trust and confidence when she spends more time alone with him.

If she gets distressed and maybe thirsty when you are not there, your dp can give some ebm on a spoon or from an egg cup, and this might help until you get back.

Hope this helps.
