My ds has so far been ebf and I am now thinking about moving over to formula as will have to go back to work in a couple of months. Just wondering if anyone has any tips on the best way to do this as i am struggling to know what to do due to that fact that we currently have no routine for bfs I just feed on demand and this is very random, and he is now on three meals a day.

I know that you are supposed to start replacing one feed with formula for a few days, then another and so on but as we have no routine I don't know where to start with this. Also I have no idea how many feeds he should have in the day in addition to his solids.

He takes a bottle fine and i give him a sippy cup of water at each meal which he drinks a bit from but spills most of it down his front :). Should I be making sure he has more water if he moves onto formula?

Thanks in advance for any tips.

What will your work schedule be like when you go back? Did you know you could carry on breastfeeding even if it's just the morning and night feeds. This way you'll both be able to carry on receiving the benefits of breastfeeding. Plus you could feed on your days off to.

It's best to drop one feed a week really so you don't have any problems .
