i've been breastfeeding for 4 years now, pregnant again, tandeming a little and now just feeding ten month old but have increasingly noticed dizziness on standing, getting up and moving my neck around. i did take preg vits (started taking them again recently in case i was deficient and i eat a very good diet (bodyweight in broccoli) and drink loads of water but i am thin (bmi of around 18-19)

before i make an appt, does this ring any bells? anemia? low blood pressure? should i take iron pills? should i eat cake?

You should always eat cake Wink

I used to get dizzy when I was pregnant with DD2. I think it was because my lungs were getting squashed a bit. How pregnant are you? Have you had any blood tests?

sorry, meant was pregnant after bfeeding for several years. dd2 is ten months now. meant to stress i'd fed a long time, through preg and beyond so may be iron depleted.

Other causes of anaemia are low B12 and low folate levels. It could also be low blood pressure as you suggested. Best get checked out (and eat cake!).

Hi I had something similar to this turned out to be low blood pressure doctor thought baby was literally sucking everything out of me and leaving me with nothing! Increased my food intake drank more water and rested seemed to do it. But definitely get checked out hope you feel better soon
