hi, as title says, i'm not sure if there is a problem or if i'm just having a 'wobbly' day!
DS is almost 14 weeks and EBF. from what i can gather, we've had a pretty easy ride, no pain, no probs with latch (that i can tell) and managed to get through all growth spurts so far. my problem is his weight. he was 10lb 3oz born, dropped to 9lb 8 and took almost 4 weeks to regain birth weight. HV and midwives saw no problem in this as he was a big baby. since then, he has gained every week but quite slowly (last week he weighed 12lb 11oz) meaning he was born on 98th and is now on teeny bit above 25th.
until recently, i have been happy to follow my instincts, he is fed on demand, HVs aren't worried, he has plenty of wet nappies, mostly sleeps well and when he's awake, is bright, alert and easily engaged. however, in the past few weeks he brings quite a lot of his feeds back up. he isn't in pain and does it silently bit by bit (never projectile). the reasonable part of me puts the sick down to incresed movement (he is very 'kicky' and active) and the slow weight down to the fact that he is just not a chubby baby, but the first time mum devil on my shoulder is concerned that i'm missing something???? does anyone have any experience of this?
oh, and just to give full disclosure, he takes about 20 mins each side to feed and always has both boobs!

sorry it's so long, my brain still isn't functioning at full pelt-am hoping to regain full use of it by the time DS goes to university!!!

Well my dd did that and I was worried about reflux etc, but the HV said she was just taking in a lot and puking up the excess! Certainly it eased up as she got older and then stopped. The centile thing I wouldn't worry about, my elder dd was on the 50th when she was born, dropped to under the 25th, and has pretty much been near the bottom ever since (she is 7, tall as a reed but very slim). I think if your baby looks bright and happy, is feeding well (as he sounds like he is) and making enough wet/dirty nappies, then he is fine.

Hi. My dd is 13 weeks and has started to bring a bit more up. Like you say I think its down to more movement and well wishing relatives lifting baby above head etc! My baby was born on the 91st centile and has just started dropping to the 75th. Health visitor says very normal as weight is begining to stabilise.
