I know they can't be microwave steam sterilised, but I've bought a big bottle of Milton and now noticed no mention of cold water sterilisation in the instructions. Confused
Am I going to have to boil it? How long for?

I found this online:

You only need to sterilise the parts that come into contact with your milk. The tubing, the connector and the lid, and the pump casing do not need to be sterilised. These parts can be kept clean and hygienic with plain warm water and a cloth.

There are three sterilising options:

  1. Steam steriliser using the manufacturer's instructions.
  2. Immersion in a pan of boiling water for 10 minutes.
  3. Cold water sterilisation with a tank filled with a sterilisation solution in cold water, according to the instructions on the sterilising fluid/tablets.
We only recommend the use of microwaves if it is with a specifically designed steriliser or pouch.

Thank you! Never sterilised anything before, but I want to go out soon. Grin
