Pain in breast & still leaking 10 days after stopping feeding

I'm after some advice, i stopped feeding my ds about 10 days ago as he had dropped to pretty much only one feed and then we both got heavy colds and i felt rotten and he stopped looking for me. However I'm still leaking (happened in a meeting in work very embarrasing!) and my breast is very tender. When I examine my breasts if i press on them i can feel multiple lumps and if these are pressed i produce milk. Is this normal, if not what do i do next?

It is normal. It can take a long time to stop producing milk, even if you were not feeding much before. I found that hand-expressing a few drops when I got uncomfortable helped - only expressing enough to relieve the pressure, but not (hopefully) enough to stimulate more production. Lieing on my tummy in a hot bath also helped, as did good supportive bras. Actually, a lot of the things that help discomfort when you're starting breastfeeding!

AliP, I can still squeeze the odd drop from my boobs and I have not breastfed for about 19 months!!!!!! it does happen so I really wouldn't worry.it will fade over time I'm sure.
