It's got a bit of a peep-hole aspect to it

Have just bought one Grin. DH says he finds it confusing

all nursing bras do this it is thier purpose and not in thew slightest bit kinky Hmm what did you expect it to look like

MangoHedgehog · 21/06/2012 18:53

It's the way that the nipples are cut away rather than the whole cup dropping down. and the black satin. doesn't seem the same as my other ones somehow!

Don't get a Miriam Stoppard nursing bra from 2009 then - the ones I had had tiny holes for the nipples (the later one seem a bit more 'generous' in allowing actual skin to skin contact with baby!)

MangoHedgehog · 21/06/2012 20:40

So it is just me then.

It's just you Mango.Grin

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 21/06/2012 20:46

It looks like the whole cup dropping down to me?

MangoHedgehog · 21/06/2012 20:54

It isn't, I got one today, there is a cut out circle on each nork.

Am sure it will be highly erotic when my nips are chewed to hell and the baby's screaming....

It's called an A frame. Designed to give more support to your breast while you're feeding.

If it makes you feel kinky/sexy at 3am after 2 hours sleep then let me know and I'll get myself one!

dontlaugh · 21/06/2012 21:08

At least the model looks like she might actually be a bfeeder, rather than a glamourous thin nulliparous teenager....
Jealous, moi?

Suckeddry · 21/06/2012 21:18

Mango_I thought the same about the nursing bras I bought from John Lewis. They looked like they belonged in a matching set with some crotchless knickers.

missnevermind · 21/06/2012 21:36

Ohh I had a Mirriam Stoppard one off eBay.

I never actually managed to feed the baby in it as it was far too difficult to line my nipple up with the tiny hole!
And when I did the feeding position was too uncomfortable.

I've just had this delivered today! I'm hoping it's peephole to corral my wayward mammoths when out and about as a full drop cup gives no support.

Are Miriam Stoppard peephole?

TruthSweet · 21/06/2012 22:26

Softly - all of the MS ones I have had were peephole/a-frame. Though helpfully there are no 'coy unclipping of one side' pics on Debenhams' website so you can't tell whether the latest ones are also a-framed.

Sparklyboots · 21/06/2012 22:32

OOO I was all up for, ahem, 'trailing' my nursing bras before I needed them for actual nursing. Then I had a baby, which took ages, the duration of which I was too knackered etc. for sex, and now he's a toddler, and still bfing, I can't actually remember what I was thinking. So, in a way it's not just you OP, though you are on your own now.

truth i think i had those Miriam ones for DS1 in 2009, glad it wasn't just me that thought they were hopeless!

i am living in my super comfy Bravado ++ ones this time.

TruthSweet · 22/06/2012 09:10

jaggy - I got some newer ones from a friend and they are less 'burka' like than previous versions. I loved my Bravado bra (except for the pulling it on bit!) but it died a death after a year of use - so useful when you are going up and down in size with every feed in the early weeks Wink

Pinkpiglet · 22/06/2012 09:48

Can I ask where this one is from?
None of my nursing bras are peephole. I like the idea of them, being a bit covered.
Thanks

it is here at figleaves

Thanks very much Mango!

jaggythistle · 23/06/2012 13:00

truth - I was actually wearing one when I gave birth to DS2 as I had it on when I got to hospital - it was a total bugger getting it off over my head for skin to skin!
