why is this happening,BF DD 9m and today my boob was leaking?

still BFing DD who is 9months... she feeds both breasts 4 times a day at about the same time each day

i have not leaked milk since she was very young and have not needed or worn breast pads for months (probably not at all this year)

so this morning i fed her (about 45 mins later than usual) and did left boob 1st, and then i realised i was all wet on right side, as had leaked

next feed started on the right, fine

next feed at exactly the same time as normal started on the left and again i realised i was all wet.... all through my bra / t shirt (luckily i was at home)

why is this happening?

surely i dont need to go back to breast pads?

yes in the early days i leaked loads (caught about 1 pint a day in breast shells) but i havent leaked a drop all year... not even when she started sleeping through the night!

do you think it will just stop, and be a one off?

agh...i cant be dealing with getting soaked each time i feed her!!!

Was she twiddling?
As ds got older, I started leaking again, but it was because he was twiddling with the other side.
If I'm in public, it doesn't happen, because the other boob is off limits.

Can't offer any sage advice on this one I'm afraid as DS is also 9mo and I still wear breast pads 24hrs a day and still leak practically every feed. I did wonder if it was meant to have tailed off by now, but figure that like everything else to do with boobs, everyone's different!

perhaps i should be grateful that i dont leak all the time like in the early days
