Expressing every three hours - from the time you start or the time you stop?

Sorry if this is a really stupid question, but if I'm expressing every three hours. do I count the three hours from the time I start expressing or when I finish?

Thanks!

From the start if it's meant to replicate breast feeding "schedules" where you time from the start of a feed

From the start.

Reward yourself with cake or a cuppa each time and it makes the countdown easier Smile

ImissMiniPop - when I was expressing lots for DS, DH bought me an expressing bra like this expressing bra

Looks a bit silly, but it made such a difference having my hands free while expressing.

From the start.

(Not sure if relevant, but when DS was 10wks I braved it and did my last express at 10.30pm and first at 6am...and bar a bit of leakage at the start (and MASSIVE boobs in the morning), this worked out fine and I finally got some sleep).

Such hard work but worth it...good luck OP

Thanks everyone, I have been doing it every three hours from start, but sometimes it takes 40mins to get everything out, so feels like it's never ending!

Will be glad to get little one home finally :)

thanks for tips :)
