I really want to stop BF my DD but she wont take a bottle and I just dont know how to stop!

She has a bedtime feed then also when she wakes in the night she feeds, then a morning feed before breakfast.

she really has come to expect the bedtime feed and i dont know what I can do to stop it.

She is 13 months.

I am so tired of her feeding all night and I am hoping that she will reduce her waking if she knows she wont get my milk.

Any tips?

She is old enough for a sippy cup. No need for bottles. Use the art of distractions when she wants to feed - offer a cup.

When she wakes in the night only offer a cup with water (preferably dad going to her and offering the water). She'll be angry for a couple of nights, but will soon learn that when she wakes she'll only get water and it will stop.

Hope that helps.

With my DD, I used lemon juice on my nipples.
She was down to just a morning and evening feed by this time and was sleeping through. She was also down to just feeding from one side as I had forgotten to feed off one side for a while and it had gone to weaning milk (I know this 'cause when I tried to feed from tehre, she tasted, said "yuk" and refused to feed from that side again..which is why I went down the lemon juice route)

Anyway, I just put lemon juice on my nipples and let her try as usual but it wasn't nice. It was painless for all, i think (though she was closer to 2 at this stage).

However, I wouldn't be too hopeful about not feeding helping with the sleeping - my DS still wakes up in the night even after I stopped feeding him - he jsut wants a cuddle! Definitely worth a try though.

Thank you for the advice, I guess I am a little worried about upsetting her so have always just let her have a suckle, but I am so desperate to stop now.
I will pluck up some strength and drink lots of coffee and try the sippy cup and maybe just wear a massivly think jumper and maybe put lemon juice on my nipples!
It is just so easy to feed her back to sleep, but Im also so tired of doing this, want DP to take some of the waking on!
