BF 11 wo spitting up, hiccups, regurgitating feed, screaming when moved

ladies any ideas on this one:

My LO has been BF from the start, never had any issues - she had a tummy bug at the start of the week but seems to have bounced back.

Since the start of the bug she has been:

  • restless whilst feeding
  • spitting up after feeds, I know this is normal in infants but it was never this amount before,
  • regurgitating parts of her feed. When she sleeps after a feed I can hear her in her crib smacking her lips and gulping as if she has has a mouth full and she's trying to swallow it down again
  • she pulls at my nipple during feeds, arching her back like she wants to get away but when I pull her off she screams to be put back on.
  • she spends a lot of time poking her tongue out as if she has wind but then I pat her back and nothing comes up

I don't know what to do to help her - she is just so upset!

Anyone had anything like this before? Is this one of those 'age' things?

Part of me thinks because she was being sick at the start of the week maybe her oesophagus is a bit tender and that's why it's happening. But then again it could be about a million other things when it comes to babies!!

Please help! X

It wasn't an age thing here. Reflux?

Is reflux something they can get at this point? I thought it started much younger.......I will do some googling and come back!

Thanks for the tip!! X

And speak to your GP ;) It's a simple thing to address if it is that x
