Stupid question alert - but are there any rules about what you can and can't eat if you're breastfeeding (well, I'm expressing to feed by premmie little one).

I've avoided all the usual stuff while pregnant, but just realised that maybe I don't have to avoid stuff now?

Any advice or top tips? Thank you :)

In addition to what maples said, you should avoid drinking too much caffeine as that can come through in the breast milk too.

You asked for tips so thought this site might come in handy as you get your supply started. I pumped for my DD for over 5 months as she never got the hang of it, but I don't think I would have got my supply established without this information even if she had decided to get going eventually.
