Dd is two months old and for the last few weeks has done poos very infrequently, maybe twice a week. but she does do big old farts that genuinely smell horrific to the point that even grandparents move away! she is ebf so is it something i'm eating? any suggestions of food i could avoid?

From what I've read it's highly unlikely to be something you've eaten unless your baby has a dairy allergy which is quite rare I think and I think there'd be other signs if it was that. My DD was very farty and smelly from birth, a right trumpet bum but she just grew out of it. She now just has her morning trumpet first thing when she wakes up - legs up in the air and off she goes. That's when I really know she's awake :)

The infrequent pooing is perfectly normal with a breast fed baby around this age. My DD works only poo every 5-6 days, but when she did she would fill her babygro from the toes to the armpits Shock

She also used to do impressively stinky farts to the point she earned the NN Stinky Pinky. IIRC, the stinkyness improved when she started pooing more regularly around weaning time.

This is normal and she will grow out of it. I think it is something to do with the gut not being sealed.... At least that's what I read when I nicknamed DD rotten, thousand year old egg!
