Reduced Milk Supply due to stomach bug

I'm worried that my supply has diminished. I came down with a bout of food poisoning and was unable to keep solids or fluids down for 2 days. I've been very dehydrated but have been taking rehydration sachets & feel slightly better now (day 3). Due to extreme sickness I haven't been able to feed as often as I normally would (usually 2 hourly in the day) - ds is 6.5 months - and i can tell he's getting frustrated trying to feed.

Ive given him a few formula top ups to avoid him becoming dehydrated but don't want to continue at the risk of effecting my supply further. I know that I just need to keep feeding and expressing. Is there a risk to my supply or can I expect it to come back relatively quickly?

DS had weight gain problems in the first few months so I'm constantly paranoid about supply issues

Poor you. I'm not trained but my understanding it that your supply will be well established by now. Can totally understand why you are worried if you had problems at the beginning. If you are well enough to feed him again now, I'd ditch the formula and feed, feed and feed somemore. If you have offered both sides and think that he still wants more, just stick him on the first side again as you'll always have some milk.

Hope you feel better soon.
