Feeding bottles - Does anybody else's numbers rub off?

I have a 6 month old who I BF for 6 weeks then slowly moved onto bottle feeding. I have used Tommee Tippee and Avent bottles but have noticed that the numbers/scale on the sides have worn off after just a few months and I have had to buy new bottles as a result. Not cheap!

I've used a mixture of sterilising methods, eg, water steriliser, steam, dishwasher but all seem to do the same thing over time.

Frustrating as I prefer to use the bottles with black numbering as the clear numbers don't show very well in bad light.

Has anybody else had similar experiences with Tommee Tippee and/or other brands? ... or is it just me?!

Thanks :)

I use Avent and Nuk bottles, have used for about 4 months ( moved from small to large at about 6 weeks) and the numbers are just fine? I steam sterilise daily, wash by hand not in dishwasher.

i have always used avent bottles for ds4 and dd, some of dds bottles are the ones i bought for ds4, just with new teats and NO the numbers have never come off, hand washed and then sterilsed in a microwave steam sterliser.

maybe its t he dishwasher?
