DD is almost 17 months old and over last week started to specifically request additional breast feeds. Usually it's early morning (4 or 5am), the around 2 pm and then 6.30pm. Now she wants an extra one mid morning and is very clear about that. TBH I was hoping to be dropping the morning feed soon as soon as she starts to sleep through to 6 or 7am, when she can have her porridge. Now we're back to square one. So is it a growth spur and I should let her get on with it or am I making her addicted Hmm as my mum says and she will never drop any feeds?

She's probably having a growth spurt, she know BM is the best for growing on!

But, yeah, I can see it would feel like a PITA considering you were wanting to cut down. IME growth spurts are usually followed by a period of being less interested in the breast and it's easier to cut down then.

Your mum is wrong, obviously. Unless your breasts are full of crack of course Hmm

Thanks, I will succumb then... my poor boobs, I was hoping they would get a break.

I would go with it - as MrsLettuce says, you'll probably find she cuts down herself before long Smile
