My son is 5 weeks old and seems to be going alot longer in between feeds all of a sudden and is not feeding as frantically as he was. He seems to get sleepier quicker during feeds and is much more settled and is sleeping longer in between feeds. You are probably all reading this going...enjoy it you mad woman...but i just wanted to check if this is normal. He appears to have got quite spotty on his face as well over the last couple of days. I was thinking about getting him checked with the Gp...nappies are all normal. Im probably being neurotic. Thanx for reading.

As there mouths get bigger and they get used to it they do become more efficient feeders.

Is he putting on weight? Plenty of wet and dirty nappies?

The spotty face is very very common around 5-6 weeks, baby acne, to do with your hormones leaving their body.

Just keep it clean and dry and make sure he not scratching.

Your feeding sounds like its going fab, things certainly get easier round the 6 week mark. Well done. Grin
