Hungry baby but won't feed!!

Hello there. My baby is 21 weeks, and over the past few days he's been screaming for his milk, when I give it to him he pulls away and cries and chews the teat. He'll take a few gulps at a time and then just cries. I feed him on expressed milk.

He's always chewing his hands, my clothes, his tongue (!) - basically anything he can get hold of.

Does this potentially mean he's ready for solids and fed up with just milk? Or maybe it's reflux? I used to pump a lot of milk (too much) so have cut down and perhaps he's getting more foremilk so a bit more acidy.

Anyone else had this problem?

THANKS!

Are his teeth coming in? maybe he wants to bite down on something to relieve the pressure? I'd be trying some teething gel on his gums to see if it help.

Sounds like teething.

They get distracted easily by the world at this age. It will pass.

Try feeding when he is sleepy in a darkened room.

Sounds like teething try teething gel or even some painkillers. Chewing on a cold damp cloth or teething toys you can put in the frige may help to.

Chewing on everthing is not a sign that he's ready for solids.

I was going to say teething too, DD is chewing on anything in sight, is hungry but doesn't want to eat. Latch on, latch off, chew on my finger, latch on, latch off.....
