I found them the other day. They are a really nice knee length, jersey material dress with a cross over/wrap around style top. Because the material is really soft and stretchy it is easy to pull to one side and put back without looking dishevelled. Obviously I layer mine up with a vest underneath.

They have them in about 4 or 5 different prints, I got a lovely black and white swallow print one and they are only £20 each.

I would link but they don't have them on their website. I have teamed mine with leggings and boots and they are really quite flattering.

Oops, stumbled into the wrong thread. I thought this was about great dresses to wear when you want to look good and stuff your face.

I'm always on the lookout for more of those.Blush

I bought the purple one with little birds on - very excited to find a dress I can breastfeed in [needs to get a life].

I've been looking for a dress I can wear with leggins and BF in, so I'll have a look. Thankyou!

nannyl · 13/04/2012 13:16

ooooohhhh, thanks for that

might have to treck the half hour drive to my nearest sainsburys

is there any chance at all they could be dressed up for a wedding? or are they a bit too casual for that?
I have 4 weddings to attend and have no idea what i will wear that i can feed DD in

GoGoBananas · 13/04/2012 13:25

I'm off to the (Costessey) Sainsbo's this evening and will have a gander.

Am aware you don't know who I am atm markstretch (am incognito) but you were v v nice to me when dd was teeny and dh was whisked off to the ooh docs at Bowthorpe and I pleaded on here for help. How was the birth? How old's ds now? Was dd delighted? N&N again? I had ds there last Sept and was overwhelmed by the improvement from first time round.

keepthechangeyoufilthyanimal · 13/04/2012 13:43

they sound nice, wish they had them online as its about 45 mins to my nearest Sainsburys that does clothes

showtunesgirl · 14/04/2012 21:00

Thanks for the tip off! I got the black one with the white swallows on it too. :)

nannyl · 14/04/2012 21:44

showtunes could it be acceptable for a wedding?

showtunesgirl · 14/04/2012 23:38

nannyl yes, I think so if you added something like a red corsage to it as well as some smart shoes and a nice necklace. And a belt wouldn't hurt either!

nannyl · 15/04/2012 08:46

well thats fab

think its worth the half hour drive to my nearest sainsburys...

i have 4 weddings this summer!

KD0706 · 16/04/2012 17:18

Thanks for the tip. I would love to find dresses I can feed in. I will take a look tomorrow. Fingers crossed my local (medium sized) shop will have them.

nannyl · 16/04/2012 19:27

thank you SOOO much

I went to Sainsburys today (and did my first proper weekly shop in store since DD was born 7m ago)
My sainsburys had 3 patterns and I bought 2 of them, £20 each

am very very happy to know that i have something that i can wear to the weddings, and feed.... we are about to move house so really really didnt want to spend a fortune on a breast-feeding dress to wear once or twice

showtunesgirl · 16/04/2012 20:06

Ooh, which patterns did you get?

nannyl · 16/04/2012 20:08

i got the purple one with birds on, and the black swallow one Smile
I didnt get the greeny one cause green is so not my colour... if it had been pink or teal i would have bought it!

showtunesgirl · 16/04/2012 20:13

I tried the purple one and the green one and neither looked good on me, I just looked for some reason REALLY pregnant in them both! Funny how the same dress but in a different shade / pattern can so make a difference!

MarkStretch · 16/04/2012 20:26

Glad you have all found the dresses useful, I got the black one with swallows and the blue one with little birds on. Think I might have to go back and get the other ones!

GoGo- I know who you are! I had DS at the N&N in Feb 09 and another little DD in Dec 2011! Both ELCS and fantastic. I had DD on Dec the 23rd and was only in for 36hrs post section, they let me home so I could be at home on Christmas Eve. I saw you had a DS and was so thrilled for you knowing what a tough time you had with your DD. I had a lovely surgeon called Mary this time round who chatted to me about baby names the whole way through, bit weird chatting while she was sewing up my innards but it made for quite a relaxed atmosphere!
