How do you make nipple shields stick to your boob

I tried breast shields to get ds to latch on and they were working but kept falling off which ds did not like. Tried water. Can you get special glue to stick them on

You need to flip the "brim" back so it looks like a little Mexican hat, then flick the brim down when it's on. I found they stayed on by themselves like that. I've heard if people using a blob of lansinoh to hold them on too.

I found that when DD started sucking, the rim of the aforementioned mexican hat would come away but the crown stayed on my nipple by the strength of her suck.

If this happened, I would hold the brim away from her nose so she could breathe and away we went.

Good luck - hope they work for you. They saved my BF plans with DD1

I would second the Lansinoh idea - i used them for 8 weeks and found this worked if they weren't sticking - having said that a bit of breast milk or any moisture can do the trick too until the baby is latched and then they usually stay on by themselves.

Good luck with it all! :)
