is this a feeding strike or usual after mmr/12 month jabs?

DS is 15 months and had his MMR and 12 month injections all together on Thursday. Thursday night he was ok but Friday and Saturday he had a temperature and was very grumpy. Last night he woke me several times by sitting upright and screaming in a high pitched way but not really wanting boob. I am absolutely shattered. He's been really grumpy and angry all day, often screeching for ages which he never does. He hasn't napped at all today, still isn't in bed now and even though I usually feed to sleep he's been refusing boob almost all day. He doesn't (and hasn't) eat much solid food anyway.

Is this just something to do with the injections? This has been the shittest bank holiday ever :(

forgot to mention, he also has a new tooth and I think more coming through. Getting calpol/paracetamol into him is really hard as he refuses a spoon and spits out if we use a syringe.

I'd guess it's probably the injections- a lot in one go! You can get paracetamol pessaries if u cannot get it in orally. Not pleasant, but sometimes necessarySad. Contact OOH and explain situation- they should leave some out for you to collect. Good luck!

thank you for the reply, I finally got him to sleep by taking all my clothes off and lying next to him. He has no temperature now but has become the grumpiest baby - normally he is so chilled out and loving. He did eventually feed for quite a while so I am hoping he is going to keep on feeding like normal from now on.
