My 24 week old and breast feeding during the day.

I began weaning my DS at 18 weeks, as I felt he was ready, with great success. We started with dinner only for a fortnight, then added brekkie and in the last couple of weeks added in lunch. In between brekkie and lunch he would have my milk, and in between lunch and dinner the same. He always feeds normally before bed and when he wakes up through the night. He sleeps from 8pm to around 6am.
In the last few days he has become less interested in bf and more interested in the world around. He isn't hungry. He is VERY lively and putting on weight, so I'm not too worried about him. I have bf exclusively from the beginning and I am not sure if this is normal behaviour for my lovely growing boy. Any suggestions? He does not seem to have an off button for solids, bless him.
Sorry for the LONG thread :-)

I think what you need to remeber is that food is just supposed to be an addition to milk at this age. Milk is the most important part of his diet still and should be untill at lest 12months.

Some baby's do seem to get very keen on solids to start with and less interested in milk as a result. I wouldn't be adding any more solids at this age just keep offering milk inbetween feeds and he should become intersted in feeding again. He's sleeping very well and if he doesn't get enough milk during the day you run the risk of him waking more for milk at night instead (reverce cycling).

ThanksSmile
I thought this was the case. Just needed a bit of reassurance. He is a complete nosy parkerGrin
He's just had a bit of milk after his lunch and nodded off.
