I've just put breastmilk into my eyes

I've just developed conjunctivitis and although I've used some chloramphenicol - it's still hasn't cleared up and one eye is really bloodshot and sore.

In work we always advise mums to use breastmilk for their babies infected eyes and it works a treat. I've had a google and there's lots of sites suggesting that it works well for adults too.

So I've just put some drops of BM in and half an hour on they already feel less stingy and sore.

Am I mad or has anybody else done this? Did it work?

So strange that this is here as I'm about to try it. My eyes are incredibly sore from conjunctivitis atm, and it worked really well on DD when she was younger.
