Not on purpose obviously!

I heated up a chicken pasta ready meal (lazy) and just as I was about to finish the last bit it occurred to me it had been in the fridge since last week. I ran out to check and the bbf date was Thursday!

Have looked on line and am pretty sure I can continue to BF if I do get food poisoning but all the same am hoping nothing develops!

Feeling a bit dodgy but that could be imagined...

YIKES!

Was it a Best Before date or a Use By date? If it's Best Before, you should be ok. If it's a Use By date... um... sorry. Make sure you've got plenty of loo roll and a bucket?

You can taste if meat is off, so as long as it tasted ok then I think you will be fine.

TanteRose · 26/03/2012 13:49

you heated it up, should be fine

the human stomach is designed to be able to deal with a lot worse than 3 day old chicken - think of all that stomach acid! It takes a VERY bad bacteria to give you full on food poisoning (usually from raw ingredients etc.) and as baabaa said, you would have been able to taste it, and you would have spat it out

don't worry Smile

Thank you all! It did taste fine, though it was a use by not a best before actually. Hmm...time will tell I suppose.

I'd agree with the, if it tasted fine, you'll probably be fine.
And yes, even if you do get a dodgy tummy, you can continue to feed your LO. Keep your fluids up (lemonade is great), and eat if you can face it. Baby will be fine.
