my 7 month old dd got 2 teeth last week, now my nipples are sore. are the 2 related?

title says it all really. she's not chomping as such (though there's been the odd experimental bite, cue sad face from mummy). but i thought perhaps the new teeth have changed her latch subtlely. anyway, it hurts, i want it to stop. help!

I have read that the excess saliva babies produce during teething can irritate your nipples and that you may just need to give them a quick rinse after feeding

Botttom teeth shouldn't be able to bite you during feeding as babies can't suckle unless their toungue is covering them. You may need to watch them if they get a bit bored or wriggly at the end of a feed though.

Every time ds and dd were in the process of cutting teeth the latch altered subtly, HC. It's not the teeth they already have IYSWIM, as maretta says.
Good luck, it is short-term, I promise.
