I just wanted to see if anyone else has experienced the same? I got them back when DD was about 12 months and she is almost 17. I stopped feeding her once a day 1 month ago and this months period is very different. I have alot of pain in my breasts, my tummy and back are aching badly. I feel sick, dizzy and just generally a bit crappy.

I have been to the docs who said it's all ok but it's just so different to what I am used to.

Thanks.

Its terrible when one feels like hell and the doctors smile at us and say, it all fine!! What the bloke forgot to explain, (which I uncovered after reading up on it, on NHS website) is that as we stop BFing, our hormones change, making the body ready for a possiblity of a future pregnancy. This is natures way of gradually changing OUR season!! So, from maternity, to fertility with a toddler to look after as well hmmm!!??
On the other hand, dealing with these physical changes can be hard and tiring, when you've got a toddler to run around as well! So, here are some of my pointers, tried n tested!
Take a paracetamol or two (one will do instead of two, if your pain is not back braking, but more like a numbing ache as you mentioned in your post..) This will get you through the day, and give you a chance to do all the things a busy mum is likely to have to do..
Have a warm bath/shower whichever you prefer...it will revive you, trust me!
Have a lie-in on the weekend and let DP look after you. Its a big change, going from being a baby's primary means of sustenance to being a mother, Partner, looker-after of things, shopper, cooker etc etc...So, get some rest whenever you can.
If you're home in the day, lie down witha hot water bottle to soothe your back, while DC is asleep or napping. Napping yourself is agood idea too!
If you still feel dizzy, ask your GP to check your BP...
Take iron supplements as your Hb might have dropped.
All the best, dear greenone12!
