Help.
My ds is 10 months now, ebf till about 7 months then started giving him a cup with formula in daytimes so i could leave him with his auntie etc to get him away from me so not to be too attached, he doesnt drink much at all of forumla tried every bottle.cup etc etc he has about half a carton a day. He is fed to sleep, will not go to sleep anyother way - i think im ready to stop bf and would like him to sleep through.
However, if i have to stop bf then how the hell am i going to make him sleep without him crying? Tried the whole crying to sleep thing and oh my god, he was sick 3 times, couldnt breathe and was in a right mess, i am not doing it again!!

I really dont know what to do!!

Unfortunately Charlies giving formula doesn't equate to sleeping through and you will have taken away the one thing that gets him back to sleep. If you do want to give up bfing though the current recommendation is to drop one feed per week, this is to reduce your risk of getting mastitis.

How many times does he wake during the night? Have you considered night weaning? Have you read 31 ways to get your baby to sleep and stay asleep?

When our DS was around 10 months I read the No Cry Sleep Solution and it helped a great deal.

thanks for you reply...
i only really feed him when he is going to bed at night and when he is waking in the night? He wakes anything from 4 to 15 times a night?
