delayed burps post-feed are disturbing sleep - any advice?

My 6wo is feeding every 3hrs at night, but even though I try burping him after, there tends to be one night feed after which it seems like he needs to burp but doesn't. If I put him straight down post feed (he feeds to sleep) he just wakes up 45-60mins later, crying with the discomfort and wide awake. But if I keep him up trying to burp him, we end up just being awake without a burp for ages so either way we're awake far too long in the early hours of the morning.
Anyone got any advice?

Ahhh yes my children did this. 3 hours is pretty standard. Have you tried Infacol?

My 3wo daughter does this at night too - is fine during the day. Watching thread with interest .... :)

I hadn't even thought of Infacol as he hasn't had colic (thank goodness!) - I'll give it a try - thanks!

Strangely, have just been given a bottle of infacol. A slightly odd 'new baby' gift, but will be giving it a try too. Thanks!

They never look impressed when you squeeze it in their mouth before the feed, but it is pretty good Smile
