One question: HOW????

Morning, afternoon and bedtime milk- if I pump will I be ok. More importantly, will LO be ok?

(ok that was another 2 questions but I'm in a quandary).

I went away for the weekend Fri-Sun the same when DD3 was 15mo and practically drinking only my milk (6x 180 ml a day). I built up a goodly stock in the freezer. She was fine. Her granny and sisters looked after her.

I however forgot to pack my pump and had to make a mercy dash to Tesco on the Saturday morning for a cheap manual one before my norks exploded.

If your LO is only having 3 feeds a day I would think you will not have these problems. Your milk supply is well-established by now and you won't lose in a day and a half.

I left my 6.5 mo for 2 nights in jan and it was fine. I pumped a couple of times each day and no impact on supply. I did leave expressed milk that took ages to build up! I wouldn't be able to do this now as I don't have any milk over any more.

It was absolutely lovely getting away!

Thank you! It's our first night away since LO was born. He's never taken a bottle but has water and bit of cow in a cup so hoping he will oblige granny. Just worried he will be difficult to soothe and that he could be distraught at bedtime/night waking/morning. Sad
