Can food poisoning/throwing up affect my supply?

Just spent two days in bed throwing up/eating nothing/drinking v little and wondering if it's affected my supply. Have been bfing for 3.5 yrs if that makes a difference.

Your not staving him, but you may have a dip in supply due to dehydration. Try dring as much fluids as possible and sucking ice cubes can help.

Your supply will come back up again with a few days feeding.

I had bad 48hr bug when my DD1 was 9mths my milk went for 3-4days luckily she took formula from a cup to stop her going hungry. Gd luck its not nice. I'm in bed now with tum bug but it seems to only be 12hr one and I've just kept pint water in as I'm BF DD2 who is 6mths and won't take bottle or cup

Thanks all - I think we've bounced back :) Tbh I think that DS just isn't terribly interested in milk really (why suck it when you could bite it? Hmm), which is a bit confusing after milkmaniac DD.
