Proud of myself

My LO is 6 months old today, she has been EBF up until today, we have had 2 tongue tie snips - the second one being only this week, she's just over 14lbs (followed the 25th centile line nicely throughout) and I just feel very proud of myself for reaching 6 months. There have been times when it's been tough, like just before Christmas before the first TT snip, she still wakes through the night several times, but I just feel like I have achieved a lot getting to now. This is in no way a dig at FF, I hope it's not taken like that, just a little whoop from me.

For me BF has been a wonderful experience so far, I'm so glad I have been able to do it.

Well done! It's not always as easy as people think and 6 months EBF is a fabulous acheivement. Have a Wine to celebrate!

Thanks Chulita :) No, although we initially took to it like a duck to water there have been times when it's been sore and hard work. But I feel like it's all been worth it.

Ah that's lovely :)

I've had DD's TT snipped but not made a huge difference yet so you give me hope.

The Great Hunt, how old is your DD? My LO had her first snip at 18 weeks and had learnt to feed with a tie up till that point so it took a while before it felt better most of the time, but there was still a residual tie which was still causing an issue so we had snipped this week and it feels better already, less nipple hanging than there was. :)

Congrats 100, you and baby have done a lot of hard work over the last 6m. Something to be proud of indeed Smile Thanks

GodisaDj · 09/03/2012 23:19

Congrats 100 Smile that's fab. I felt like you about a month ago, it's a lovely feeling to overcome barriers and still continue (tongue tie corrected at 5 days, then mastitis).

Continue to enjoy the experience Smile

She was almost 12 weeks. Her latch two weeks later isn't great but I wonder if there's still a bit as they snipped a lot and said it might reattach.

Thanks Truth and Godisa. :)

I hope things get better for you soon GreatHunt, I rang for a review appointment as I thought the tie was still there and was glad I followed my instinct, I'm sure you would be able to do that if you wanted/needed to.
