Breastmilk and older DC with D&V?

My 8 year old son has D&V as of tonight. I was thinking of trying giving him some expressed milk as a drink to see if it helps his eczema anyway, but I wondered if it would be beneficial to him other than to keep him hydrated while he is ill now? Is there any reason not to give it to him? I wonder if it would be especially useful as he has Downs Syndrome so his immune system is compromised anyway.

The main reason I ask is that a few months ago we all got D&V after DS got it and DD who I am BF got better much faster than the rest of us.

Can't see why it would do any harm, and it might just do some good.
