Off to the theatre tonight...

DH booked us theatre tickets for tonight back in Jan for my birthday when DD was occassionally taking a bottle. She's now 15 weeks old a bottle refuser! Cue patient sister outside with some expressed milk just in case and some strategic feeding at the interval.

Gulp.

Wish me luck!

Good luck! Glad you're going - what a lovely sister you have. It will be ok!

Yup, that's what we did when I had tickets for David Tennant's Hamlet (I wasn't about to miss that!) and a 4 mo DS1. DH selflessly drove us to Stratford and then wheeled DS1 round the town until the interval, whereupon I forced a boob in his mouth. Same again as soon as it'd ended. Grin

You'll have fun and DD will be fine. What a great sister you have!

Hi showtunes. It's your MN stalker again! Would you believe I am also going out tonight and leaving my bottle hating baby?!

She will take a few oz now from her dad after a mini tantrum so I've got a curfew!

Have fun at the theatre.

Wow I wish I had a sister Envy

I have a bottle refuser too but my DM is very patient with her & got some milk into her to prevent meltdown while I had a little operation today. If they're hungry they'll take it I guess Smile

Well muppet here got the time wrong as the show starts at 7 on Tuesdays but 730 the rest of the week so we missed the beginning but I think it went up late so we didn't miss much!

DD was really, really good and had a feed at 7 and then didn't want any until we went home which is her longest daytime gap ever! And when we got home at 11, I fed her and she went sweetly off to bed with wake ups at 3 and 7!

The only thing is that the show was Matilda and they kept singing about "This little girl, this miracle" which reduced me to a hormonal blubbering mess!

reshapewhiledamp no way would I have missed Hamlet if I'd had tickets!

pastabee hello! And where did you go?

untamedshrew how did your op go?

We saw Matilda at Stratford the christmas before last, fantastic show! Glad you enjoyed it and DD was good :)

Pastabee · 07/03/2012 12:52

Pleased you enjoyed yourselves. Drinks and a meal with a big group. Great fun. The getting up is a bitch when you've been out isn't it?!

showtunesgirl · 07/03/2012 14:31

I hear you Pastabee! I had a "lie in" today with DD. We got up at 830 instead of 8!
