Hey, I am looking for some ideas on what to wear to a wedding when you're breastfeeding? Baby will prob be about 1 month. Any suggestions where to find smart-ish breastfeeding wear? Thanks!

Smart shoes, tights, Skirt, stretchy vest underneath and smart glittery cardie/top/jumper?

You pull down the vest underneath boob. You pull up one side of the cardie/top/jumper .

I do dressy jersey in a v-neck or wrap style + lightweight scarf to wrap loosely around neck/cover upper chest when feeding. Always felt very discreet.

I did it, wore a silk/linen suit with a long jacket (matched skirt length) from linea with a jersey top underneath that I could pull up to feed, the jacket covered me up at the back and side so I didn't feel uncovered.

I wore this www.mummylooksfab.co.uk/Sophia-Nursing-Dress but in teal. It was really comfortable, easy to feed in and looked fab dressed up with heels and a fascinator.

I wore a skater dress from topshop and dressed it up with heels and jewellery.

I've ordered this and am hoping the wrap over neckline works for me and covers post natal tummy

I've been to a couple of weddings and found that wrap dresses with a stretchy vest underneath worked best for me. I use this site a lot.

i saw a lady at a wedding wearing on of those long dresses that have smocking at the top (sleeveless). she was bf, but you couldn't tell (i only did because i was looking out for it)
like this but without the strap

Dote make some nice dresses although you'd have to work to make them weddingy.

I bought the Twinkle dress to wear to my SIL's wedding when I expected to be BFing a 2-3 week old DD. I bought a lovely cream jacket and heels to wear with it to make it look that bit smarter.

As it happened DD arrived a little later than expected and I was a big fat pregnant lady instead. I did still somehow manage to sqeeeeeeze into it (it's very stretchy) and wore the jacket too, just open at the front. The heels were brutal though.

It got lots of wear post birth although I did take the hem up by about 6 inches to make it look a little more casual.

I wore this in lilac with a silver shrug, silver strappy sandals and a silver corsage thingy.

DS was 7 weeks old and it was flattering on my post-pregnancy tum.

If you're usually a size 10 and want to borrow it then PM me as it's currently sat in my wardrobe doing nothing and I'd be happy to lend it as it cost quite a bit and it annoys me that I only wore it once!

Thanks all for the really useful ideas. I have a much better idea now of the most appropriate necklines. Please keep adding if you have any further suggestions.

bicnod I may just be taking you up on that. But wedding is later on this year so may only be in a few months time... Thanks for the offer :)

Capecath - just PM me whenever if you want to borrow it - it's not going anywhere and nor am I!

:)

Wow some gorgeous dress suggestions on here. Must find somewhere lovely to go whilst bf!

I bought a dress from babes with babies (not sure how to do a link. But google should find the site). They've got some nice specialist breastfeeding dresses.
