He's got a nasty cold that's been doing the rounds, and has given up solids, apart from the occasional corner of toast or yoghurt.
He's very grumpy and clingy, and wants constant access to boob, even if he goes crawling and then comes back for a very quick cuddle/feed, then crawls off again.
Should I be stopping him and trying to structure his feeding pattern, or do I let him get on with it and wait for him to feel better?
Thankyou :)

I just let mine get on with it, also he ate yoghurt at 1am occasionally till he got better. Shock

He had a virus thing at the exact same age and it involved sore ears/throat with occasional puking. He had parctically nothing but bm one weekend - I was v glad to not be at work!

We had to take him to the doc eventually who told us it was just a virus and complimented us on how well hydrated he was

so i reckon you are doing the best to help him get better. :)

DS did eventually start eating normally again....he's nearly 2.6 now and being a bit difficult though.

Your doing great, just let him get on with it. Your provding all the fluids he needs and lots of antibodies and vital nutrian to help him recover. He'll start eating again when he's ready.

We also had a rough week with ill so you have my sympathy, it's not easy when they are ill.

Let him feed when he wants and don't worry too much about getting solids into him until he's feeling a bit better. And when he is feeling better and slows down you might need breast pads again for a day until your supply adjusts down again Wink

Thankyou :)

Oh joy, leaky boobs again :o
I'm absolutely starving as well - must be down to extra feeds. Dh thinks I'm milking it for all it's worth (pun not intended!) to get a few extra biscuits.

Forgot to mention, extra biscuits also essential. Must be the posh chocolate ones too, not the boring ones. Grin
