I really need your help, please. My ds had two awful weeks of gastric flu as part of his nursery germ initiation. During that time he wouldn't take any food and barely any milk during the day. So he learnt to wake at night to take a couple of small milk feeds (40-50ml).

He is much better now but still wakes once at around 1am at which time he will drink up to 200ml if allowed but I'm trying to reduce the amount to wean him off it. I've tried shush/pat and offering water in a sippy cup. He just screams the house down which our neighbours must love.

If you have any advice I'd be so grateful. How can I get him out of the habit? He's eating and drinking well during the day so there is no need for this feed.

Oh and just to make me even more desperate I have a vile case of tonsillitis so feel really really cr*ppy.

Thank you so much!! Beaver xx

Well sounds like he does need it? I'd reduce fhe feed gradually Over a week and see how it goes? Can your DP/dh give it while you rest?

I'd say if he's scraming and not seataling without it then he still needs it.

He's only little and has a small stomuch even if eating well during the day there is no reasion why at this age he still may need a night feed. Even if he's gone without before could be a growth spurt/catching up from being ill.
