The dr has prescribed me micronor but i am a bit cagey about using it whilst breast feeding. My baby is 3 months old and has one formula bottle at night but breast milk apart from that. Any experiences of anything similar? The dr didnt seem to foresee problems but literature accompanying it says "your dr may advise you not to take micronor". Sounds a bit contradictory. Much as i am beginning to feel like sex again (not much!) i do not want to compromise my breastfeeding.

It's a mini-pill isn't it. It is generaly though that mini-pill (Progesterone only pill's) are safe to take while breastfeeding.

There is some more info hear kellymom.com/health/meds/birthcontrol.html

I was on Cerazette ( was told this is the more modern version of the mini-pill) for 6 months with no problems with bf. According to kellymum the only possible problem is a lowered supply but it's a rare side-effect and the supply recovers as soon as you stop so not a problem.
