red spots/patch in nipple and aereola, painful when feeding.

I've been bfing for almost 12 months. In the past few weeks I noticed pain in one nipple occassionally, then last night noticed a red, slightly swollen patch right under the nipple but in the areola, and red spots in the other one. What could this be?

Don't know sorry k2 but hopefully this will bump it for you. Sure that someone who knows will be along soon but in the meantime have you thought about ringing a BFC?
