Oops. Feed and post. Frustrated with my boob. Ds1 gave up about this age without any bother, but I thought that was due to pregnancy..

Bloody iPhone. I mean to say, my period has just returned for the first time and do you think this may dry up my milk?

Your milk has not dried up :) however some women experience a temporary drop in supply whilst on their period, just keep offering and it will right itself after a few days.

I haven't heard of that happening to anyone I know. Maybe it tastes slightly different. Or it could be entirely unrelated and he's got a sore throat/tooth coming/you've eaten something strong tasting that he can taste. I assume you aren't suddenly taking any medication you weren't previously taking.

He lives on houmous, no probs with strong tastes. Thanks for the reassurance. Swapping bfing for periods would be a particularly crap transaction.

I found that I had slightly lower supply just before my period but not restricting feeds and feeding more frequently (if requested) helped keep my baby happyGrin.

It is quite common - though not all women experience this - to have a slightly lower supply around ovulation and before a period so it's nothing to worry about.

If your toddler is getting frustrated you could try breast compressions to help the flow along.

Teething not helping. Poor us!
