Breastfeeding and swimming.....ridiculous question

I'm EBF my 3 month old and we're about to start swimming lessons. Will my overenthusiastic boobs leak in the pool?! If so is there a way to prevent it? Sorry if this is the dumbest Q ever!

I believe you can wear lily padz in the pool, although I found them a bit sweaty and crap tbh so I wouldn't recommend it. I used to feed DD in the changing cubicle then have a quick shower before getting in the pool and didn't have any problems. I would have thought the cold water would quell the spray??? Confused

Seriously, I had the most overproductive boobs ever and they didn't cause a milk slick when I took DD swimming - promise! Grin

I never leaked in the pool, certainly not enough that I noticed anyway.

nannipigg · 20/02/2012 15:15

I never really thought anything about this when I went swimming Blush
I seriously hope I wasn't leaving a milk trail!!!

I never had a problem - was way more worried about baby's nappy leaking than me.

HumptyDumpty2 · 20/02/2012 23:35

I never leaked either Smile the pervy pool guys were a concern however.......!

Thanks everyone... Although I hadn't even factored in pool pervs. It's a minefield, this motherhood lark!

I never leaked in the pool - but I did find on getting out of shower afterwards, particularly if DD was looking for a feed, that my (over active anyway) breasts would start leaking.

I just made sure to put my bra on the second I got out of the shower!Grin

I definitely leak in the pool - but it's not noticeable to an observer - I can just "feel" it!
