My 6mo screams everytime he comes off the breast. Even though he's full!

Have been weaning DS since 5 mo and he is now on three meals a day which he wolfs down. he still bf's a lot as well and since his 4month sleep regression hasn't slept for more than 2 hours at night without wanting a bf.
He has a bottle before bed at 9, then usually wakes up for his first bf at 11. He would usually just go to sleep straight away in bed with me, but now he screams when I take my breast away. Even though he's finished feeding(he has been sick several times as he is so full)
I don't know what to do as he's obviously suckling for comfort as there is no way he's hungry. How do I stop him screaming everytime I take it away?

is he teething No?

If he is suckling for comfort a dummy might be helpful, although as he is 6mo he might reject it (and you might not want to use one).

He has his first two at the bottom through. I don't think we have anymore to come for a bit as he was so drooly and pink cheeked with the first two at 5mo and we've had none of that!

I tried a dummy and he practically laughed in my face!
