Looking for some advice please on moving DD from Aptamil 3 onto full fat milk. How does one go about it?

Currently she has 210mls of Aptamil 3 in the morning and evening. Should i start giving her full fat milk in breakfast in the morning and small amounts to drink out of a breaker?

Also when do we just start giving her full fat milk in replaced for the Aptamil? I know Aptamil do follow on milks however it's quite pricey and i'm sure cows milk is just fine.

Thanks,

ps. DD 1 next month.

Yes you are right that Follow on milk is expensive and there is absolutely no need for it.

Once she is one it is fine to swap over to full fat cow's milk, there is some information here on how much milk she should be having. I thnk the NHS guidelines recommend swapping to a free flow cup or beaker from the bottle at 12 months.

We swapped to cows milk at 12 months. I did use a bottle at first, but gradually moved to a beaker over the next month or so. From recollection, ds2 was a doddle. Ds1 was a bit trickier, because he was quite attached to his bottle, but he was on a beaker by 14 months.

Thanks for the link jilted will check it out.

DD can already drink from a beaker so well try and slowly swap her across. Cheers for the advice.

As Jilted said. In one day I went from Aptamil to milk straight from the fridge and it was fine.
