Feel very sad that that's the last time i'll bf again

Last Baby Syndrome going on here atm (am trying not to be too wobbly about this...)

Oh, that must be such a sad feeling. I love the closeness of feeding my DTs, and I'm sad about having to stop one day (hopefully not too soon!).

I really hope you're able to replace the first and last feeds of the day with some lovely snuggles on a bed - even if you're not feeding, you can have the cuddles and smell their hair Smile

or you could put it all off and keep feeding!

It is sad, but never say never.

I gave my ds his 'last breastfeed' several times over the coming two monthsGrin

Six months later, and I am pleased that I stopped. I enjoyed it at the time, but it's over now. Treasure the happy memories!

I could've started this thread myself, OP.

DD's last bf was on Monday night... been sad and quite teary about it (which has surprised me as I never intended to bf beyond 12 months.... she's 15 months).

Felt the time was right though - her biting was getting beyond a joke and I'd had enough.

Boobs are size of marrows now and really tender....wonder if I should've reduced her feeds by one more before stopping? She was on one feed in morning and a feed at bedtime at point of stopping.

It's like the end of an era.

Hugs. I think we chatted together about this before. I totally get where you're coming from

Thankyou Smile

I really think it is finished.. he never 'asks' for it anyway, was down to 1 feed a day only (and that was over within 5 mins), actively seeks and asks for cow's milk now

It is sad, though I need this to be about his needs, not mine. End of an era - how true. Just can't believe how quickly it's passed... he's 18m btw

Still get loads of cuddles though - am sure he is more baby chimp than baby human Grin
