apparently switching to formula during the day and breastfeed morning and evening is 'probably the only sustainable option if your baby's under six months and needs frequent feeds in the day'.

no mention of MNers who have done it. I know I've come across other MNers who went back at 4 months and part time before that as I thought 'oooh someone did the same as me'.

Also thought for such an emotive area for a lot of breastfeeding mums, the back to work section was a bit brief but maybe there is another guide out there.

Found it all rather negative and no reason to post except I am being a bit grumpy.

How do others find the guide?

Hi PA!

Are you going back to work soon?

I am interested in this too, as DD2 will be 4 months when I go back. I am not sure expressing is an option for me then, but will watch with interest nonetheless.

Have only skimmed the guide tbh Penguin, but my hackles were immediately raised at the 'breast is best' line near the beginning.

I thought we were done with that outdated strapline as breast is just normal isn't is?

no fc that's when I went back with DD and I did the expressing routine. Sounds I did less palaver than some of the people who went back later.

I have to say throughout the guide I was a bit hmm but that was the one factual thing that stood out to me
