Really dry skin ESP on hands and feet

Help! My skin is so cracked and sore ESP around my nails. It's agony since I'm using my hands constantly - creams don't seem to be helping and anyway get washed off almost immediately as I'm always either cooking, cleaning bottoms or cleaning stuff up.
. I'm exclusively bf-ing DS2 and I'm pretty sure this is the root of the problem - I remember vaguely having the same issue three years ago with DS1 but not as badly. Does anyone know why this happens and what supplements I should be taking to try to rehydrate my poor skin? :(

Dunno, but I have the same thing. I thought it was just from so much hand washing, but I just noticed my feet are bad too with old lady cracked heels. What about putting cream on just before bed and wearing gloves?

Trio that's a good idea. Phew this bf lark is tough on our bodies isn't it? Do you take supplements? I'm really bad at taking mine and wonder if the bf is leeching nutrients from me!

Have you thought about swapping soaps to something a bit more moisturising and wearing gloves to do washing up (or even those latex Drs gloves for nappy changes).

Are you drinking to thirst or do you forget to drink in the general rush of the day? You don't need to drink to more than thirst though as drinking excessive amounts of water isn't good for you and could lead to a lowered supply of milk.

I haven't heard of bfing causing dry skin but I have heard of frequent washing causing dry skin though...
