Feeding DD 16MO once a day and a weekend away without her

Hi All

I now just do one feed in the morning (5.30am Hmm) with DD 16MO but in March I am going away for the weekend and will miss two feeds, Saturday and Sunday morning...will I be uncomfy and full or will I be ok?

Also can I still continue when I get back? Just a bit unsure as to how my body will react and am hoping someone with more experience can advise me.

She won't drink any other kind of milk so will have to make do with water and an earlier breakfast!

Thanks!

I suspect your DD will be fine while you are away and although you may feel a little full I doubt it will be anything horrendous. You could always hand express a little if you do feel uncomfy.

I am not feeding DS (15mo) twice a day but he often skips his bedtime feed or if I am working late then he has no choice. I tend not to feel much different boobwise after missing feeds. I think at this age your supply is pretty robust and adaptable.

(I remember your name from a few bf threads when DS was much much younger, isn't it just great that our DC are still feeding and all those horrible problems are in the past - to be replaced by new ones though. Sorry for the tangent, it's just nice to see a familiar name still going strong :) )

Ahh thanks! She never did take a bottle so it has been very strssful at times but I like the morning feed as she is such an early waker it buys us more time in bed!! Hope you are well :)

Ditto Greenone12, DS has never taken a bottle but now drinks a decent amount of water from a cup... FINALLY. His only milk intake is from me once or sometimes twice a day though other than on food obviously. He was waking at 5.30am for a feed and then a bit more of a snooze in with me, but now seems to sleep til 6.30am which is fine for me with work etc - not so good when I want a lie in at the weekend or hols, but hey ho. It's just nice to recognize a name from a while ago as you never really 'know' anyone on here, yet you can get quite involved in their problems and them in yours iykwim?
